DEALING WITH BROKEN TRUST - 1 year ago

Eugene and Ben have been married for 7 years. It was indeed a home that has been blessed by God because they were not just in love but they were also peaceful loving.
Their union was what could be considered perfect one.

However, problem began when they had no child after 5 years into the marriage. All doctors' report showed that they were very well health wise to conceive. And so they took it in good faith, but fervently praying that God will bless them with a child of their own.

One night, Ben came home drunk. This was very unusual of him and this got Eugene worried.
"What could have happened at the work today to have made him went drinking to this extent?" She asked no one in particular as she assisted her husband upstairs to freshen up and rest.

The next day, they had a conversation about it and the issue was resolved amicably.

A month after the incident, a lady which was revealed to be an escort visited them with the news of her being pregnant for Ben.

It was a shock to Eugene but Ben wasn't so surprised after all. Apparently, the day he explained to Eugene how he got drunk, he left out the part that he slept with one of the club girls who happened to be the lady in front of them.

Eugene was broken, she wished it was all a dream and that someone will wake her up from it. A home she has tried to build in 7 years was about to be scattered by a single act of carelessness resulting in unfaithfulness.

The pains in her heart, only she could explain, despite the apologies by Ben, and advice from friends and family, she left her home, marriage...

Before you draw conclusions on this story, try to put your leg in Eugene's shoes.

Was the husband right to have hid what happened to Eugene?

Was the escort/club girl right showing up at the house with the pregnancy?

Was Eugene right to have left her home and marriage?

This is just the questions I will love for us to answer. Kindly share your views.

How do you deal with pains, broken trust and betrayal?
