Day 3 Of "The Common Thread" Campaign - Yesterday

As we continue our journey through "The Common Thread," we arrive at a powerful truth: while our places of worship—our altars—may differ in form, practice and tradition, our fundamental humanity is identical.

Religion is often viewed through the lens of what divides us: different scriptures, different rituals and different architectural styles. However, on Day 3, we want to challenge that perspective. If you look past the external symbols, you find the same universal values at almost every altar: a yearning for peace, a commitment to justice and a deep, abiding love for one's fellow human beings.

Whether one prays in a mosque, a church, a temple, or finds stillness in nature, the core of the experience is the same: connecting with something greater than oneself and finding the strength to live a life of virtue.

The diversity of our faiths should not be a barrier to connection; it should be a source of shared strength.
