Little Steps That Amounts. - 1 year ago

You do not need a fabulous pair of shoes to journey.

Creating a good habit is as easy as creating a bad one; the only difference is the impact (negative or positive). I mean, the only difference is that one is harmful while the other is beneficial.

Why is it so hard to build good habits like reading or writing every day, building a new skill, learning a new one, and exercising? But even when you don't plan to learn a bad one, you end up doing it so well - eating junk, smoking, watching movies, using social media, gambling, etc. It's easier because we put more interest into it, and when we crave immediate gratification, we find these bad habits difficult to break and they become addictions.

Think about this: why do you find it difficult to write, read, and learn a new instrument, etc.? Here's all you need to know: building habits is like pouring water into a drum using a cup. You should start little; habits aren't built in a day, so be consistent and keep going even if you skip a day - continue the next day and never stop. That's where discipline plays its part.

The reason habits are called habits is that they become part of you. When a habit is fully formed, it becomes hard to break. Choose good habits today; you can start with just one good habit. Don't multitask, and don't wait for motivation - passion alone is enough, commit and keep showing up.
