🙆‍♂️ Philosophical skepticism questions how you know that you know. Or Epistemology as the study of what knowing means. Radical skepticism concludes that you cannot know what is true and real. There are many variations far less radical that attempt to determine what is true and real in a relative sense rather than some universal absolute sense. I tend to think we don't know anything in a universal absolute sense because we do not have the ability to explore and experience everything. Our understanding is based on a small portion of the universe we call our world. We can extrapolate our explorations as being true and real for the cosmos. However, much of what we believe, is personal and based on personal experience. The question becomes is skepticism a valid way of questioning what is true and real? Sure it is! But exploration and discovery while asking questions is enough for most of our lives. You don't have to ascribe to skepticism as a philosophical belief if you are inquisitive and willing to learn.
