CHAPTER 1

 (A lively family)

 “Wakey wakey” Mrs. Alani said as she watched her daughter, Jessica sleeping quietly on the bed. Alani’s is a family of three, Mr Alani, Mrs Alani and their little 14-year-old girl, Jessica. Mr Alani is the special adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Artificial Intelligence. Mrs. Alani owns a mall in the Ikoyi-Lekki, Lagos State. They are a very rich family living in harmony. Jessica is a little princess in her parents’ hearts. “Ouch,” Jessica said as she woke up from the bed, and stretched her body lazily. “Morning, Princess. Go and take your bath”, Mrs Alani said. “Morning, Mom” replied Jessica. She stood up and went to her pink-painted bathroom, took her bath and got ready for school. “Princess, Come down. “Your food is ready” Her mother shouted from the dining room. “I am coming, Mom” she replied. She wore a nice fitted school dress from the King and Queen’s College located in Victoria Island, Lagos state. She came down from her room looking beautiful. “Who is this queen” her dad teased, she blushed and the family smiled. They had a nice breakfast. “Wait, Jessica” her father called, she was shocked because her dad regarded her as Princess, only to be shocked to call her real name today. “What, Dad?” she questioned; her dad smiled and said “Nothing much, just wanted to have a diplomatic issue with the princess”: She smiled and said “Okay, Oka-san (father in Japanese)”: “Now that you are resuming the secondary school, you need to be extra careful in your dealings. Make good friends that will help your dream of becoming the greatest Doctor in Nigeria. Don’t forget all those Sex education I taught you. Report any radical touch on your private places to your school authorities. Make sure you read more than before. You know Dad love you”. “I love you too, Dad. I promise to keep all your instructions, and I promise to make you proud, Dad”. “What of me, you don’t love me, right?” her mother said. “I love you too, Mom” she replied. “Don’t make my daughter a late-comer on, Baba Omo (child’s father)” her mother said. They all smiled and went out of the house, making their way to school to drop Jessica at school, as Mr Alani made his way to his office. “Yeah, before I go,” Her Dad said. “I got you this teddy bear, it is the latest AI teddy bear,” He said. “You should name it yourself. It could play you music, videos and many things” He added. “Make sure you take good care of it. With time, you will know the real function” he concluded. It was a pink teddy bear with blue eyes, and it looked so stunning. “I love it” Jessica exclaimed. She was playing with it throughout their journey to their daughter’s new school. She was engrossed in the Teddy when her Dad asked what she wanted for her birthday coming on 20 June 2023. She said, “I think I am okay with anything, Dad. This teddy is more than enough.” “Thank you, Jessica, for loving me so much,” the robot said in a robotic, funny and cute voice. They all laughed as they watched the dialogue between their Princess and the AI teddy bear. “Don’t worry; I will protect you, okay?” It said confidently as Jessica hugged it. “I will also protect you too” Jessica replied. They made their way to the school full of diverse exotic cars in the owner’s park. “Can I cope here?” she cannot help but ask herself. “You will be fine, Princess” her Dad comforted her as he was aware of her fears. “I love you, dear Dad,” she said hugging her father, as they both walked down from the car………………
