The Kelly Clarkson show is gearing up for season six, opening with a special episode on a Manhattan rooftop.

Clarkson an executive producer on the show, which has won 22 Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Daytime Host and Talk Show last year.

Burned by media stories in the past, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter says she takes a different approach with guests on her daytime show. She said "I've earned a thing or two about interviewing after being in the spotlight as a recording artist since 2002. So, I've created a safe space for guests on season six of my talk show which launches Monday".

She spoke to The Associated Press recently about how she approaches interviews by making her guests feel comfortable, often playing games and infusing comic jokes and humour into her segments. With the extra touch and life of music this season, her fans can expect a mix of more buzzy celebrity interviews, hot topics, human interest stories and the signature “Kellyoke” musical performances. She also covers new artists like Bille Eilish while staying incognito on the subway.

This is Kelly herself. It's unbridled joy, positivity, it's music, it's humor, it's heart, it's all those things together and just in a very real way,” showrunner Alex Duda says.
