It is close to 3 decades now since you traveled to the world beyond although it still feels like yesterday.

I am writing to you because I don't really understand again.

Before you went on this journey, you left with me three hefty shoes which you told me to always wear.

I can remember asking you why you wanted me to put on such a heavy-sized shoe but you said I shouldn't worry that I would get used to it. 

Daddy, it's 25 years now but I still haven't got used to wearing them. How were you able to wear these shoes?

It's heavy, pinching and hefty.

How did you manage going out everyday with such shoes? Please tell me.

I am asking because it has really not been easy for me. These years have been a hell of years for me and nobody cares whether I had anything on. Everyone just keep expecting while the shoes you left for me want to kill me.

How were you able to roar that loud? They said I have grown and is supposed to roar like you did but I still bleat like a goat. Please I really need a guide because I don't seem to understand the rhymes. How did you do it?

Wait, I gave some to mom to wear. Don't be angry with me. She insisted she would wear it. She doesn't complain but I see those tears in her eyes every night. She carries this heavy shoe like nothing is happening but deep within, I know she is dying slowly. I wish I could take them off her shoulders but even this one I wear has bent my ankle.

How did you do it?

I wish I never said goodbye to you because what you were I have tried to become but it is really too hard to be. 

I wish I can just be half of the man you were.
