Politics: Reno Omokri Aim Dig At Peter Obi
Kelechi Ogbu,
The special Assistant for new media to the president, Mr Reno Omokri has take to social media, twitter (X) to criticize the Labour party presidential candidate, Peter Obi for his silence on Nigeria's recent oil production milestone.
Omokri noted that Obi has been quick to speak out against the government when things go wrong but remains silent on this achievement.
He said, “today, the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries revealed that Nigeria had set a new oil production record and reclaimed her role as Africa's largest crude exporter, with a daily oil production of 1.28 million barrels. And there is a loud silence from Peter Obi.
“But if, God forbid, a motor accident claims the lives of Nigerians tomorrow, Peter Obi will come out and use the most uncouth language, saying that they were "roasted alive" and blaming the government”.
He also pointed out Obi's opposition to the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project and his silence on Buhrai's construction of second Niger bridge.
“He attacked the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project as being unnecessary but did not talk when Buhari built the Second Niger Bridge, even though there was already an existing bridge, just because he does not want Tinubu to get South-South votes. It is all about Peter!.
He urged Obi to accept his electoral loss gracious like his counter partner, and not rooting for negative events in Nigeria.
“Opposition is one thing. Demonisation is another. What Obi is doing is demonisation. He prays for bad things to happen in Nigeria so that he can gloat. Kwankwaso also lost the #NigerianElections2023. How many times have you seen him salivating over bad news about the country?.
Peter Obi contested for the 2023 presidential election but lost to the current president who contested under the umbrella of All Progressive Congress (APC).
