The prerequisites for being an entrepreneur

1. Discovery of purpose:*

God created all of us for a reason. You will agree with me that there are entrepreneurial opportunities in every sphere of life. God told the prophet Jeremiah *"Before I formed you in your mothers womb, I knew you, I consecrated you and I made you a prophet to the nations",* (Jeremiah 1:5). It's easier to succeed as an entrepreneur when you know your purpose. So the question we should all ponder upon tonight is *"What on earth am I here for?".*

2. Develop your skills*

*Many ignorant people believe that what they need is just money, once they have money, they can succeed in any business.* But we all know that this is not true. You are not expected to start any venture without knowing what it's all about.

3. Be Sensitive to Opportunities*

Problems are the pivot upon which entrepreneurship revolves. If you run away from problems, just know that you are running away from the opportunities you have been praying for. Every good entrepreneur is one who is ready to solve problems and the degree of problems you solve determines the reward you get at the end. *Always remember that there will be no entrepreneurship, if there are no problems to solve.*

4. Take Calculated Risks*

Entrepreneurs are risk takers and you must take calculated risk in order to be a good entrepreneur. Starting a business is an art of taking risk with the believe that you will succeed. Since there are two outcomes in running a business; gain or loss. One cannot be hundred percent sure that the business will succeed. Therefore, *enterpreneurs  optimism is always connected to a risk component.

5. Be Creative

As it is often said, "you cannot do what everyone is doing and expect a different result". *What makes an entrepreneur stand out is his/her creativity.

6. Master the Art of Relationship*

Businesses only succeed as a result of a strong customer based relationship. You must learn to relate well with people to succeed as an entrepreneur. *If you don't have good customer or people skill, you may fail in business despite having a good product, location and affordable price.* There are times people prefer buying from an expensive source where they feel valued and respected than from a cheap source where they are disrespected.

: *CONCLUSION*

Flexibility is key to the success of individuals in every sphere of life. Be ready to embrace positive change on the journey of entrepreneurship. This will help you to remain relevant and keep making progress in your venture. Finally, always remember that *WHATEVER IS WORTH DOING IS WORTH DOING WELL. Don't do it unless you are ready to do it well.*
