Last semester's GST Cultural Presentation which our lecturer made us do .It was an unforgettable experience. My department was tasked with presenting the Gbagyi culture,it was our lecturer culture though.Gbagyi culture That symbolize strength and unity a responsibility we embraced with a mix of excitement and artistic ambition even though we had little challenges but. As film students, we saw this as more than just a presentation; it was a chance to bring our skills to life and allowed us create magnificent and beautiful moment.
We decided to go beyond the typical stage performance And bring ourself to show what it means to be gbagyi person. We'd create a short video showcasing Different tribes that were given to other departments it was something that was beautiful because all departments had to show the beauty of each culture to the people who came to see the presentation.
The process of filming was a hectic process in filming cultural immersion. We spent days documenting everything: we had ups and downs, the careful process of a woman crafting a pot, the rhythmic movements of a traditional dance. Our cameras cut and captured not just images and sounds, but the very soul of the Gbagyi people.
The opportunity taught us the power of film to bridge cultural gaps and tell compelling stories. It wasn't just about getting a good grade; it was more about bonding with course mate to achieve a certain goal.Honoring a culture, capturing its essence, and sharing it with our peers. We started as film students with a project, but we left with a deeper appreciation we got the chance to see deep inside the gbagyi culture.
And we thank our lecturer for passing this task unto us and we excel in it.
