Protest Against Hunger; What's Your Take?

Over the past few weeks, the planned protest against hunger has gained momentum, leading to speculation that government officials, including lawmakers, governors, ministers, and representatives, are fleeing the country due to fear of public backlash during the protest.

Last week, President Tinubu made a public speech, affirming his commitment to staying in office during the protest but expressing concern over potential damage to public property. Meanwhile, some public figures in the Tinubu administration have urged the public to abandon plans for the protest, asking for time to allow the president to address the issues.

They claim that the protest is being sponsored by influential figures with personal ambitions and warn that those fueling the protest have already secured their families' safety outside Nigeria, leaving innocent citizens to bear the consequences.

Nigeria's economic woes have worsened since the current president took office, with rising fuel prices, food inflation, increased electricity tariffs, and company closures. These issues have prompted strike actions from affected unions like NLC, NASUU, and TUC.
