Tears Of Resentment - 3 months ago

I watch as she toils, day and night
Her hands worn, her eyes dim with fight
She labors tirelessly, her spirit worn thin
While he sits idle, his presence a burden within

Her sweat and tears, a testament to her strife
A life of hardship, a constant, gnawing life
She sacrifices all, for our family's sake
While he indulges in leisure, his contribution a mistake

I feel the weight of her struggles, the pain she endures
A resentment grows, a anger that festers and matures
Why must she suffer, while he reaps the gain?
Why must she carry the load, while he remains in vain?

Her love and devotion, a beacon in the dark
A guiding light, that shines like a spark
But he, a shadow, that looms and hides
A presence felt, but a contribution that divides

I yearn to ease her burden, to share her load
To stand by her side, and help her carry the road
But he, a hindrance, a weight that we bear
A constant reminder, of his uselessness and care

Oh, the tears I've cried, the anger I've felt
Watching her suffer, while he does nothing, but melt
Away into the background, a ghost in our lives
Leaving her to face, the struggles and the strife.
