LESSON I DIDN'T EXPECT - 3wks ago

It never struck me how deep the quote ‘Avoid distraction’ or was it ‘The fastest doesn't always win the race’ really is. I've heard the saying thousands of times but never really felt the impact.

That was until a faithful day. On this day, I and my brothers got on a bike, I and my immediate younger brother got on one while the oldest and the youngest got on another. The bike on which my older brother rode on was in the lead with no hope of our rider catching up.

However,as the ride continued I noticed that we were closing the gap between the two bikes. Unable to hold back my curiosity I asked my younger brother for his opinion,he observed and stated that the bike man was receiving a call. At that moment, I had an epiphany, the quote, and it struck harder than it ever did.

I mean he had a favorable deckhand however because of a momentarily distraction he lost it. If this is applied to today's world where there are countless number of distraction, we'll be shocked how many people has failed to achieve their dreams because they never really understood the meaning hidden in these words.
