Earlier this week on Monday, my school took to the streets of Jos dressed in our various course uniforms and some in white imprinted Nuga shirts, marching from Hill station roundabout down to unijos permanent site. Flags flying and banners raised high
Creaing awareness of the 27th edition Nuga games gearing to take place in the university sports arena
Unlike other Nuga editions, this one is historic, being the first time it'll be hosted by a university in the north central part of the country
So much preparation is going on to make sure it becomes one of the best Nuga events ever.
But time seems to be running out, as renovations of sports arenas are yet to be completed. Like the spectator seats of the football stadium which is still without a roof, and the turfs looking dry.
The running tracks just tarred black, but lanes yet to be carved.
And the basket ball court with no basket boards
Contractors have been supervising, engineers and labourers working overtime, with so much hands there's a lot of positive feeling It will be done before the games commence.
Come november 6th, As a Jossite I'll be cheering on my school athletes when they take on the pitch to perform.
