Trying to be the best in everything is what this young boy always tried to do. 
There was a boy called Dolapo. He was bright and had a promising future. He was good at a lot of things which made everyone tag him as "THE PERFECT GUY". Academically, he was sound and really good. Financially, his parents were okay too. But he missed one thing which was his CHARACTER.
This bright boy was so ill mannered and didn't respect anyone not even his parents. He saw himself like a superior leader over everyone Although he had good grades and all but he always brought back bad comments on any report from school. He was also proud which led to his downfall.
It was his final exams in the school. He sat for it and came out in flying colours. To be honest, he did excellently well. And the time everyone has been waiting for came- the prize giving day. And on this day, the overall best in the school will be awarded. Everyone had predicted that he'll be the one but little did they know what was in store for them. Dolapo had no prizes and wasn't given recognition as the overall best. The panel and entire board were against him because if his unruly attitude. And that's when he realized that he has to calm down, show respect and be nice. O yes! And also bring his shoulders down and be humble.

This short story should be seen as a lesson that you can't be perfect in every single thing. We're humans and we have glitches in one way or the other. Character, they say is the true beauty. So we should always try to be of good character wherever we go cause it addresses who we truly are.
