Don't join the rat race.

I, remember GST class hundred level. The lecturer was advising us that school doesn't make you rich. I remember him saying if not marketing students and those in the business side should be richest.

I'm not against school, hate school or anything like that. However I do despise the rate race we are brought into.

If you go back in time and see the reason the British started teaching Africans it was mostly for clerical duties.

To serve and consume and not to create.

Even after many years of this kind of teaching many parents still preach the sermon of “Go to school, get a job, get married”.  So as a parent after investing in your child this is just what you want to see.  Nothing wrong with it though to get married or have a job.

But where is the room for making creators

When you tell someone, constantly to get a job, reinforces their consumer mentality and when done long enough the consume mentality.

So we hear people say things like “the government no give me work”, "government work no dey”.

No government in the world is responsible for doing employment to a high level as many expect instead businesses and SMEs. Are responsible for doing most of this .

To be continued
