Have you ever tried suggesting or using the word of God as the best approach to a situation before and people be like "Please this is not Church don't come and quote Bible for us biko" ? Like before you quote any scripture and say Chapter this verse that, they have already rejected what you want to say even before hearing what you have to say.
Isn't it quite disheartening that people think the only place where the Bible should be read and applied is only in the Church? Some even feel and think that "Life" and "Bible" are two separate things. So you deal with life with life's wisdom and use the Bible only in Church.
What's more heart breaking is the fact that it's even "Christians" that are the first to say keep the Bible and Jesus aside and face life. Like I don't understand. Is it that we need to do a proper orientation on believers and make them see that all the answers to life's situations and wisdom to navigate through life itself are all in the Bible? or this is just a scheme of the devil to close people's eyes and keep them in darkness.
The Bible covers EVERY aspect of life. There is no situation or event that has happened, is happening or will happen in this world and even beyond that has not been dealt with in the Bible.
The Bible is not just one religious relic that's meant to be read and practiced only in the church alone.
Funny thing is, if you go ahead and give an opinion or suggest an approach towards tackling a life situation from the Bible without mentioning the verse and chapter or saying Jesus in your sentences, people are most likely going to accept what you say and probably call you a man of wisdom.
The Bible is our manual for daily living; it is not just a religious relic to be used within the confines of the church alone.
So I ask, what is really the problem?
Why can't somebody give an advice with scriptural references without people objecting it?
May God help us all 🙏🏽
