Omoyele Sowore

From a student leader to a fearless political activist. He started as a student leader in University of Lagos where he led protests against military rule and corruption in the 1990’s. He protested against Abacha military rule which later went violent and led to the death of 7 protesters and Sowore was arrested, detained and tortured — this brought out morale and brought about long term commitment to activism in Nigeria.

Sowore is a fearless activist that all political leaders, policemen and lawyers are scared of because of his courageous attitude and how he addresses Nigerian politicians without being scared. Sowore has interfered in many injustice situations in Nigeria in which he was able to make sure the individual involved found justice, a notable example is the NYSC Cooper ( RAYE). 

Sowore isn't just an activist, he's an individual that came from family with nothing but used his voice to fight and was able to make way for himself, he once contested for presidential post in 2019&2023 but unfortunately he didn't emerged as the winner,

Due to his activist act, he lost his brother Olajide in the hands of suspected herdsmen in Edo but still he didn't give up. 

Sowore isn't just anyhow activist, he's a watchdog for all political activities and individuals, he's a critic for all bad steps taken by politicians,police, policy makers and others in power. While some people believe in Sowore, the same way there are my controversies surrounding him. 

The moment we start having activist that can speak against bad governance like sowore— Nigeria will definitely be in right hands
