The Nigerian police authorities have arrested and are currently interrogating a crypto trader known as 'Blord,' whose real name is Linus Williams. In a statement issued by Force spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi, it was revealed that Blord was apprehended on allegations related to cryptocurrency fraud and other offenses.

According to Adejobi, the investigation involves complaints against entities associated with Blord, including BLORD GROUP, BLORD REAL ESTATE LTD, BLORD JETPAYE LIMITED, and BILLPOINT TECHNOLOGY. The allegations range from cryptocurrency fraud to aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Adejobi emphasized the police's commitment to thorough investigations, ensuring the safety and security of Nigeria's cyberspace. He stated, "Our cyberspace in Nigeria must be safe and secured by all means. We are committed to achieving that."

The arrest underscores ongoing efforts by Nigerian authorities to clamp down on fraudulent activities, particularly in the rapidly evolving domain of cryptocurrency trading and digital finance.
