Far From Home - 8 months ago

Is there a place like home? Where we can find solace, where all our burdens are all laid?

Close your eyes, with one breath at a time, the whole earth at ease.

In a place of freedom, where love is the language we speak.

Far from home, in a stranger land, a place of emptiness and frail.

Away from the place of happiness and familiarity.

It is time to reclaim all that has slipped off our fingers before it lingers between the cross roads.

Not too far from what we know, the place where all our dreams began.

When the world tries to hold us hostages, the home becomes our refuge, the place where we at peace.

Far from what is familiar, the sound of the hummingbirds at dawn and the smell of homemade brown rice.

The echoes of happy children across the hallway, mother in the kitchen and father in the small farm at the back yard.

Nostalgia draws me to the facade of my home, the place I know too well.

And when I am in the high way, before nightfall, we will cross the border to a place of broad daylight.

Home, a place I want to be, a place where I can be my self, a place where there is a family.
