Theodore's pov
If this was a dream then I better wake up before it is too late, I warned myself silently. But dreadful and fake as it feels, it was as real as the hair on my head. Conner ended the call and he came to tell me everything was set.
“Let’s give Summer some more time, I’m sure she’ll appreciate that,” I thought aloud and Conner nodded.
I didn’t rush Summer but watched her stand by her father’s side when the ambulance arrived and the attendants helped him into the ambulance.
“Shall we go?” she asked me after clearing her throat a few times to stop herself from crying. I had to pretend not to notice so that she would be comfortable.
“Sure,” I beamed leading her to the already waiting car. “Sterling Estate, here I come…” I whispered as I entered the car.

ON THE PLANE
“First time on a plane?” I asked her when we were in the plane and she clung tightly to her seat
“It is obvious, isn’t it?” she pouted and I smiled at her
“Just a little,” I described with my pinky finger and she bit her lower lip embarrassed
“And you? Your first time on the plane?”
“That I can remember, yes,” I stated truthfully.
“Nice… So, your grandfather, what is he like?” she asked and the first memory that came to my mind was of him sending my parents and I away without looking back. I stiffened on my seat and clenched my fist unconsciously
“Did I say something wrong? I’m sorry,” Summer apologized on noticing the displeasure on my face
I swallowed hard while thinking of the best way to describe him.
