The Broke In. - 2 months ago

My name is Favor, I had a friend named Joy. We met in school and instantly clicked, like twins. We did everything together - eating, drinking, and even wearing each other's clothes to class. Joy studied microbiology, while I pursued computer science. We bonded in our off-campus lodge, and our neighbors even called us sisters. For two years, our friendship was filled with joy and laughter. We had our differences, but they never broe our bond. However, in our third year, Joy did something that shook me to my core. One stressful evening, I returned to our lodge, famished. I was about to eat some noodles when Joy called my name, her voice shaking. I opened the door to find her looking troubled, and before I could ask what was wrong, two strange men burst in, wielding knives and a gun. They pointed the weapons at us, warning us not to scream. I tried to cry out, but one of the thieves slapped me, and I fell to the ground, terrified. They ate my noodles, took our valuables, and even stole some moey. As they escaped on their bikes, I was left with a swollen face, tears streaming down my cheeks, and he tried to rape me but Joy pushed him and held me close.... After the thieves escaped, I was left shaken and traumatized. I couldn't believe that Joy had put me in harm's way. I reported the incident to the police, but the experience was almost as traumatic as the attack itself. The police station was crowded and noisy, and I had to relive the ordeal as I gave my statement. To make matters worse, the incident affected my academic performance. I was already struggling with my coursework, and the stress of the attack made it impossible for me to focus. My grades suffered as a result, and I had to drop my CGPA.I couldn't forgive Joy for her betrayal.

Should I forgive Joy, or move on?
