We are lying to ourselves. Every day, Nigerians claim the country is bad, corruption ridden. An onlooker asks why is the country bad? Someone replies “don't you know our politicians they are greedy”, “those in power who have the means to say yes or no, who have the way to change people's lifestyles but choose to fill their pockets instead” . What I've noticed now, we are the cause. Every single Nigerian has a part to play in the ongoing corruption. We practice corruption at the lowest level, and how do we expect to stop that form of corruption when we get to the highest level? the little 500 Naira the market seller adds here claiming it is the government taxes, the little 2000 the student claims they need to pay for a book, the little one million the oil mogul steals from a project, they all amount to the same thing, corruption!! We are innately corrupt in Nigeria. We need to stop! NIGERIA STOP!
Heart on my sleeves
Emotions unleashed
It’s not how i feel
Just how i wish to be
But my mind is a warrior
It wins over my heart
And feelings never really were my type of art.
