It was 5:00am when my alarm rang signalling the start of a new day, lazily I pulled myself from bed and proceeded to do the needful. 8 said my daily prayers and dedicated a rosary prayer to the Holy souls.
I theb proceeded to heat up some water to take my bathe and the question of what to eat popped up in my head, while I was still thinking of it our common live saviour as students (garri) was in my cup and I added some sugar and water and took it. I later booked some potatoes before heading to school.
I hung my back pack and walked happily to school, I greeted a couple of friends as I passed by. I met up with some of my course mates upfront and we all walked together gisting along the way, '' I hope we don't have to stay long in school, some of us barely had breakfast''one of them said
We all nodded in agreement and I joked ''Even after a good breakfast you would feel exhausted be the end of two or three classes'' we all giggled and made our way to the auditorium for the general studies lecture we ought to have that morning.
Some people discouraged me from attending tagging it as unimportant but I still planned to attend.
The auditorium wasn't full on arrival so we got strategic spots to seat in order to enhance comorehesiibility if what would be thought
After what took like ages an old man let's say in his sixties whom we perceived to be the lecturer walked into the auditorium.
He started by addressing the Students present, first if all welcoming them to the world of '' ON YOUR OWN '' where your parents are not around to watch your every move and the educational system not too forcefull but very demanding and rewarding, where we meet people of different timber and calibre, attitudes and goals and lots more, he admonished us to be serious with our studies and then proceeded to the topic fine the day. I was quick to jot down and follow the class.
After less than two hours we were done and the lecturer left, hence we preceded to the faculty for other lecture.
Later in the afternoon when we didn't have lectures i went to get some snacks to eat and went for my other classes.
At the end of the day I went home with my head pretty muddled up, so I decided to take a nap and wake up to read later for better understanding peharps
So that was my typical first day at school, I would say it was calm nut stressful, but I still look forward to better days and more exoeriences
Well it was still. The early days
