APC Denies Allegations Of Forcing Enugu Workers Into Party Membership - 2wks ago

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State has dismissed allegations that it is compelling civil servants and other workers to register as members of the party, describing the claims as unfounded and misleading. Party officials said the reports were a deliberate attempt to discredit its ongoing membership drive and stir unnecessary tension within the state.

According to the Enugu APC leadership, the registration exercise is entirely voluntary and open to individuals who freely choose to align with the party. The party stressed that no worker has been threatened, coerced, or pressured to join, adding that participation is based solely on personal conviction and democratic rights.

The party further accused political opponents of spreading what it termed “false propaganda” to undermine its growing presence in the state. APC leaders maintained that they remain focused on strengthening their grassroots structures and encouraging issue-based politics, urging the public to disregard claims that could inflame political sentiments or misrepresent the party’s intentions.
