I woke up tired, even after sleeping early. My phone was full of unread messages, unfinished tasks, and reminders of things I still hadn’t achieved. While getting ready, NEPA took the light.
My laptop battery was low, my data subscription was almost finished, and traffic was already building before 7 a.m.
On a normal day, I would have complained nonstop.
But something happened that changed my mindset.
While entering a bus, I noticed an older woman carrying a heavy bag and struggling to balance herself. Nobody moved. Everybody was focused on their phones or trying to survive their own Monday stress. I helped her with the bag and gave her my seat.
She smiled and said something simple:
“Don’t let one hard morning spoil your whole week.”
Honestly, I don’t think she knew how much I needed to hear that.
Because sometimes, Mondays feel like evidence that your life is not moving forward. You see people announcing wins online, getting jobs, traveling, getting engaged, building businesses — while you’re just trying to survive the week.
But that day taught me something important:
Not every successful person started their week feeling motivated. Some people succeed simply because they keep showing up, even when they’re tired, discouraged, or uncertain.
So I stopped waiting to “feel inspired.”
I opened my laptop with the little battery left. I answered one email. Completed one task. Made one important call.
And somehow, that small effort changed the direction of my week.
By Friday, I had achieved more than I expected.
This is your reminder that you do not need a perfect Monday to have a successful week.
Start tired if you must. Start late if you must. Start scared if you must.
Just start.
