Mindset, I Think..... - 1 year ago

We mark some days as fair and others as foul because we do not see that the character of every day is identical. Certainly we're all guilty of forgetting that on both days (fair and foul), we were the captain of our ship. See, its actually very easy to get pissed at having a bad day but very difficult to understand what lessons should be learnt from it. Don't get me wrong, I'll always pick a million good days over one bad day but this is life, we forget that for a positive to exist there must be a negative side too. It's like knowing death exists because life does.....
My point entirely is the fact that when we encounter a bad day we just focus on how bad it makes us feel and its totally normal. Especially when it hits you hard on a day you never expected. Each person handles pain in his own accord but once it has fixed itself with the passing of time and becomes his companion and household inmate, it will not quit him even at his earnest desire. We must resist it at the door!!!
My problem is not having a bad day, its our reaction to it. Some days look like even the heavens are against us and when we yield to the sting it carries, it affects our entire energy. Its easy to talk about staying positive but it's difficult to actually be positive! Doesn't mean it's not achievable......
When we walk with a heart of gratitude it becomes easy to survive even on the worst of days......
Don't forget that on both days, you are still the main character in your story. Question is, if it was to be read, what type of character would you be?
