Tom Cruise Set To Perform A Stunt At The Olympics Closing Ceremony. - 1 year ago

Tom Cruise, recognized not only for his acting prowess but also for his fearless stunts, is gearing up to bring his adventurous side to the grand stage of the Paris Olympics closing ceremony. Recent reports from TMZ have unveiled Cruise's upcoming stunt, where he will descend down the Stade de France with the official Olympic flag in hand. Additionally, a special segment filmed in Los Angeles in March will pay homage to the 2028 Olympics. The elaborate plan involves Cruise flying from France to California in an airplane carrying the Olympic flag, then executing a thrilling skydive onto the iconic Hollywood sign. Subsequently, the actor will pass the flag to a diverse group of Olympic athletes in Los Angeles, including a volleyball player, a skateboarder, and a cyclist, who will continue its journey throughout the vibrant City of Angels.

Apparently, the Cruise segment was initially planned to be even bigger: A large party was set to take place at Will Rogers State Beach, The Hollywood Reporter noted. But LAPD was concerned about shutting down the Pacific Coast Highway, and there were issues securing the necessary permits from the California Coastal Commission.

Still, the action-packed closing ceremony sounds like it’ll be a blast. TMZ wrote that Cruise actually reached out himself to the International Olympic Committee about setting something up to connect the Paris Games to the L.A. edition—which makes sense when you consider that Cruise has historically been a fan of the Olympics.

In 2004, he participated in the Olympic torch relay in Los Angeles leading up to the Athens Games. This year, he has been seen at various events, from swimming to women's gymnastics, as reported by THR. Cruise enjoys displaying his stuntman persona at significant gatherings.
