Nigeria just signed a major deal with South Korea, aiming to build Africa’s first electric vehicle manufacturing plant.
💡 The Federal Government of Nigeria signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Korea’s Asia Economic Development Committee (AEDC) to establish what officials describe as Africa’s first large-scale electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant.
💡 The agreement aims to build a local EV assembly and production hub, backed by plans to develop nationwide charging infrastructure and support Nigeria’s National Energy Transition Plan and Automotive Industry Development Plan.
