Protective styles help reduce breakage, like Braids (not tight), twists, or Cornrows

Remember: protection should never be painful.

Step 4: Care for Your Scalp

Massage your scalp gently 2โ€“3 times a week to improve blood flow.

Step 5: Protect at Night

Sleep with a satin or silk bonnet or scarf every night.
