Dorcas peered into the mirror, her reflection unfamiliar. Today was her wedding day, a culmination of dreams with the man of her heart. As she smiled at the woman she saw in the mirror, her emotions surged. It was finally happening. She recalled their journey.

She was twenty-one at the time, out of secondary school, and was seeking admission. The pandemic's lockdown had eased, and she yearned to escape the confines of her home. 

He was thirty, a university graduate who had recently moved to her town to establish a home studio. To promote his business, he sent facebook friend requests to local residents, followed by brief introductions.

She was among those who received his request. She replied, expressing her lifelong desire to learn photography. He inquired about her motivation, and she explained her passion for storytelling through images. This was all it took for him to offer her free training.

Her brother accompanied her to the studio on the first day, following her parents' instructions. When she saw Tsola for the first time, she was captivated by his charming face and dimpled smile. His calm demeanor was endearing, but she dismissed her feelings as wishful thinking. Tsola was her boss, and that was all.

Tsola taught her about the exposure triangle: aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. He also introduced her to the concept of depth of field, which she found fascinating.

As the months passed, Dorcas and Tsola developed a fondness for each other. Recognizing his growing affection, Tsola decided to pursue a girlfriend, but it however wasn't Dorcas. He had a rule against romantic involvement with his employees.

Despite trying his luck with several ladies, none could match the joy and laughter he shared with Dorcas. He finally decided to ask her out, but only after she had left her job.

Thus began their love story, filled with both passionate arguments and moments of shared happiness. Amidst these ups and downs, everything else faded into obscurity for Dorcas whenever she was with Tsola, leaving only the depth of their hearts in sharp focus.

“We're late! Let's go to church!”

Startled back to reality, Dorcas walked toward the door, ready to embark on a new chapter with the love of her life.
