Day 0056 of 1000 Days.
The Secret Source of My Father's Wealth
Part Fifteen.
Last night, I was left wondering why Mr Kunle's house helps are all male. Today, I woke up to start thinking whether Mr Kunle is a ritualist.
While in the village, I had never thought Mr Kunle could be a ritualist. No! He was too good to be a ritualist. But here in Lagos, why was I now thinking that he could be occultic? Because of his wealth?
'Oga Danjuma, you don chop this morning?' Muhammed spoke out loudly when I went to meet him at the laundry.
'No, sir. By the way, my name is Danjuma, not oga Danjuma. You are close enough to father me'.
Muhammed laughed. The laugh was akin to his broken English. I looked at him critically and I saw his admiration of me.
'Ah! Oga Danjuma, I be small boy o. But, you are just like Oga Kunle. You be good man. Sorry boy'.
I laughed and watched him laughed as well. Muhammed had a lot of innocence and nice aura around him. He must be someone really cool to be around.
As I moved around Mr Kunle's sumptuous and luxurious edifice, I saw the gatekeeper and two other guys discussing. They went their separate ways when they saw me.
I knew Dan to be the gatekeeper but who were those two? Why had Mr Kunle not introduced them to me? And why did they go their separate ways the moment they saw me?
My spirit was restless and I knew something was furtive about them. But what did I know? And when did I get to Mr Kunle's house? I must mind my business.
