The Plateau State Government has relaxed the curfew in the Jos-Bukuru metropolis, now allowing residents to move freely from 12 noon to 6 PM daily until further notice. This change, effective Thursday, follows a security review by Governor Caleb Mutfwang and consultations with security agencies.

Governor Mutfwang praised the public for their peaceful behavior during the curfew and urged continued cooperation with security forces to ensure safety.

This update comes amid reports of violence and looting in northern states during national protests over economic hardship. The relaxation aims to balance security concerns with residents' need for freedom of movement during ongoing demonstrations.
