“They are threats and must be eliminated. Can't you see?”
“No,they don't mean............”
His statement was cut short as he saw an object leave Clyde's frame, headed directly for the Police men several feets away.
“Nooooooooooooo.........”
“Tochukwu Nwa m.”
He could faintly hear a voice calling his name from a distance.
“Tochukwu!! Tochukwu!!!! Wake up! If you don't stand up now, get ready for a baptism of cold water this morning. Don't you know you're late for school already?”
Tochukwu sat up abruptly, breathing heavily. Beads of sweat lined his fore head. He looked around his room and realized he was still in his parents house at Awada, Onitsha, Anambra State.
Slumping back on the bed, he sighed in relief.
"So it was a dream after all... Ah! Thank God o." He used the back of his palm to wipe the perspiration off his forehead whilst trying to calm himself.
“Are you still sleeping? Don't let me come over there!”
The loud voice of his mother jerked him up from the bed.
"No mama, I am up already!" He replied immediately.
Rubbing his eyes, he lazily got out of bed.
“That science fiction movie I watched last night must have gotten to me. See how I wanted to get heart attack for nothing.”
"I know I'm a big dreamer, but this one eh!" He chuckled to himself.
