life
is like a man
chewing gum
enjoying the sweetness of it
but just for a while
in a blink of an eye
the sweetness is gone

life begins  to have no taste
no pleasure but sour 
stressing and depressing
not achieving a sliver
talk more of a gold
running without aim

this is the record of many
still trying and struggling
with pains in their eyes
and still say to themselves
"life is about pain and gain"
when they don't even have
aim to gain even a grain in life
because we only seek pleasure
of now and forget the treasures
of tomorrow.

spitting out some ideology
and beliefs to create a new self
until we realize that we are
our own pain we can't aim or gain
until we realize our limit in human
strength and embrace the ultimate
sovereignty of God
we will never live with gain.
