Success Is Built Before Exam Day - 14 hours ago

The first semester results are finally dropping, and one thing really stood out to me.

A lot of people walk into exams believing the exam score alone is the real battle, but seeing these results made me realise something  those little tests, assignments, attendance, and random class tasks actually carry serious weight. That “small” 10 marks or 15 marks you ignored can be the difference between an A, a B, or even struggling to pass.

I’ve also seen people complain about how someone they taught during exams ended up scoring higher than them. Funny enough, it happens more than people think. You might explain everything to someone a night before the exam and still see them perform better overall. Not necessarily because they wrote more in the exam hall, but because they had already built their foundation through continuous assessments. Their test scores quietly carried them.

That’s the thing about success in school and outside school,  it rarely starts on the exam day itself. It starts from the small things people overlook: attending classes, submitting assignments, preparing early, following up consistently, and taking every mark seriously.

Don’t wait for the “big day” before you decide to get serious. Most times, the result is already being built long before the exam timetable comes out.
