On our way to church this morning, while in the vehicle, my dad decided to remind his family that Jesus died for us two thousand and twenty-five years ago.
He went further to say that Christ died for our sins, and that’s the reason for his salvation today. Before this very hour, Christ had already resurrected — and that’s what makes Him different from other prophets. He also said that if Christ tarries, he too will rise from the grave to meet Christ in the air.
Then he threw the questions to us:
How about you? Will you meet Christ in the air? If the trumpet sounds today, will you be among the elect?
If you say Christ died for your sins, why do you continue to sin? Why crucify Him (Christ) a second time?
Let’s ponder on this and celebrate Christ not just by reenacting what happened years ago, but by letting our lives reflect the true reason for the season — the free salvation He gave.
Happy Easter!
