EPISODE ONE
Thump, thump, was all she could hear. The beating of her heart. It was louder than her rapid footfalls. Yes, she was running. Her legs ached from exhaustion, drenched in sweat, she ran from her most dreaded enemy. The musty smell of the dark tunnel filled her nostrils, barefoot padded on the damp cold steel, uncaring. Her mind could not bring itself to imagine the grossness of the environment. Much more was at stake.
Fear hung loosely from her shoulders, struggling to sink its talons deeper so as to avoid falling. This was what it enjoyed and it was doing a great job. Its black slimy form curled around her neck, talons deep in her shoulders and bulgy yellow eyes pierced straight into her soul.
Hilda was vibrating. It started as a cold sensation from her fingertips that spread to the rest of her body. It was like electricity, quickly working its way to her heart. Plummeting like a rag doll, she collapsed to the ground, unable to comprehend anything. She was trembling and shaking like an epileptic. There was no other explanation to this. It was fear at its peak!
