In the depths of solitude, a flame burns bright
A longing that cannot be tamed, a restless night
The body yearns for touch, for skin on skin
But the heart, a heavy burden, weighed down within
The mind wanders, a maze of fantasies untold
A search for connection, a love that's yet to unfold
But like a mirage, it vanishes in the air
Leaving only shadows, and a longing beyond compare
The sheets, a tangled mess, a testament to the fight
A battle to suppress, the desires that ignite
But like a wildfire, they rage and they roar
A primal urge, that cannot be ignored
In this sea of solitude, I search for a shore
A place to anchor, and calm the burning core
But like a ghost, it haunts me, a constant refrain
A reminder of the love, that I've yet to obtain
So I'll wander, lost in this desert of desire
A traveler without a map, or a love to acquire
And though the embers burn, and the flames rise high
I'll hold on to hope, and the promise of a love to come, someday.
