How deep runs water's memory?
Each molecule a story told
Through dinosaur blood
Through mammoth tears
Through yesterday's rain
The earth - a blue marble spinning
In darkness vast and cold
Gravity's unseen fingers
Dance us through space
Like puppets on cosmic strings
The sun burns our questions to ash
Planets waltz in ancient rhythm
Our solar system: a dust mote
In infinity's playroom
Dawn bleeds into dusk
Truth dissolves in shadows
Rain falls, memory's tears
From clouds that knew us before
Life rises from decay
We feast on death transformed
Into leaf, into fruit
Into flesh remember flesh
Souls spin like seasons
Human to wing to hoof to claw
Each turn of the wheel
Wearing grooves in existence
Was anything truly born?
Or do we echo endlessly
Like light between mirrors
Growing fainter with each reflection?
We are all borrowed stardust
Passing through temporary forms
The universe: an infinite loop
Of matter remembering itself
