i. The Dance of Limbs & Sights
Let the legs talk to a reasonable distance,
Let the mouth walk so all listens to what it says.
Let your ears see what hovers around;
and the eyes hear that which is hidden in secrets.
ii. The Soul’s Reverie
Let the heart think of that which it desires,
Let the brain feel the Love that suits the soul.
Let your tongue smell that which pleases the Lord;
and the teeth tastes the very nature of His glory.
iii. The Reversal of Nature
Let the the birds swim down into the deepest seas,
Let the fish spread its wings to the highest clouds.
Let the Dove roar as it paces to catch its prey;
and the lion meekly beautify the sky for all to see.
iv. The Celestial Paradox
Let the moon blossom the affairs of the dark afternoon,
Let the Sun slowly creep to witness the Sunny nights.
Let the sweetness of vinegar surprise the bearer;
and the bitterness of honey amazes the one who tastes.
