The Person Who Walks Slowly In Front Of You When You're Late - Yesterday

There is a special kind of frustration that only appears when you are already late and someone decides to turn the road into a leisurely morning walk.

You are walking fast. Your mind is calculating the minutes. You have already imagined your boss asking, “Why are you late again?”

Then suddenly, someone appears in front of you.

Walking.

Slowly.

Very slowly.

And somehow, they are occupying the entire available space on the road.

You try to overtake from the left.

They move left.

You try the right.

They move right.

At this point, you start wondering if this person has secretly been assigned to prevent you from reaching your destination.

The funniest part is that they are completely relaxed.

No urgency.

No destination anxiety.

No “I might be late.”

Just vibes.

Meanwhile, you are behind them looking like someone whose future depends on getting past this person.

Sometimes, you even start walking awkwardly beside them just so they can notice that somebody is desperately trying to pass.

But they don't.

They simply continue their peaceful journey.

And when you finally manage to overtake them, you don't even look back.

You just keep moving like a survivor who has escaped a difficult situation.

Life is funny that way.

When you have nowhere to be, everybody moves at normal speed.

But the exact day you are running late, the entire world suddenly develops a slow-motion feature.
