Kanye West has officially apologized for his past behavior and says he is now committed to taking his medication and getting proper treatment

In a letter published in the Wall Street Journal, Ye expressed deep regret and shame over things he said and did in the past. He explained that his actions were heavily influenced by long-standing mental health struggles, which he says began after a serious car accident in 2002.

Kanye made it clear that:

He is not a Nazi

He is not antisemitic

He says he loves Jewish people

He takes full responsibility for his actions

He also opened up about how bipolar disorder can affect someone’s thinking — making them deny they’re sick, believe nothing is wrong, and feel overly confident even when they’re not okay. Importantly, he admitted that mental illness explains behavior but does not excuse it.

Ye says he’s now focused on treatment, accountability, and real change.
