LAGOS- Talk about being at the right place at the right time!

The Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area, Hon.Moyosore Adebanjo granted N500,000 business support to a resident of Olusosun (ward F) LCDA.

The intervention happened live during the Honorable’s appearance on The Morayo Show hosted by Morayo Afolabi Brown. During the Q&A session when the woman talked about empowerment challenges. Moyosore asked the woman what she wants for which she responded that she needs to get a space for her hair dressing business, the Chairman then asked the amount needed and she responded “Just 500,000”.

“You get it today”, The Honorable Chairman  made the announcement which was met with applause from the studio audience.

          Speaking on the show, He highlighted key achievements and projects of his administration,stating that his administration has fulfilled all promises made during campaign.

The Honorable chairman talked about the launch of the Onigbongbo Marshals, a community security outfit established to strengthen safety in the LCDA.

He said the initiative was launched to commemorate International Women’s Day, and said the Onigbongbo marshals is  partnership with the Nigerian Police for training. He added that Halogen Security will provide technical support,while Xtreme Media has pledged to donate security gadgets.

          As regards the health sector, The Honorable chairman said at the start of his tenure, he met seven primary health care centers with only one doctor. He disclosed that his administration has now employed more doctors to ensure every primary health centers of his council has a doctor.

He further announced plans to establish a council owned diagnostic center to enable early detection of diseases and also reconstructing of the primary health care centers to global standard.

          “The essence of local administration is to reach the barest of the population at the grassroot”, He added. 

The chairman also spoke about the ‘See Something, Report It’ campaign with a N15,000 reward for residents who provide credible information about individuals involved in unlawful acts.

The show drew reactions from viewers who commended the chairman’s responsiveness and the council’s new initiatives.
