Death is easy to speak of,
but very complicated to understand.
It is said to be a beautiful world,
a place filled with peace,
yet still called a disgrace.
It is a surprise waiting in silence,
a journey never wished for.
Death, death—
so simple to pronounce,
so easy to spell,
yet no one knows what happens after.
It walks a funny journey
alongside its brother,
the richest man on earth—
Life.
Life, filled with potential,
dreams, and stars.
Yet neither of them cares
about respect, honour, or fame.
Death comes without permission,
taking away important people
from this world.
It gives us limited time to live,
limited time to love,
limited time to be happy.
Death is never friendly to anyone
except the grave.
For the grave is the only place
that welcomes it without fear.
No matter how easy death is to pronounce,
it is never wished for.
Simple to spell,
yet never loved by anyone.
Death is a new world
from which there is no return,
a place where no one
can follow you.
It leaves you all alone
in its mysterious world,
making you feel helpless,
sometimes even useless
to yourself.
It puts you in a situation
where you see the people you love
and still cannot be happy around them,
because somewhere inside,
you know that one day,
someone may leave.
And with this, I tell you what death is:
It is a surprise package,
but never one we wish to receive.
It is a world of its own,
but a world no one wants to see.
It is a country,
but one no one wants to travel to.
And yet,
though we fear its arrival,
we should never be afraid to live.
Because death may end a life,
but while we are here,
we still have a life to live.
