President Bola Tinubu has lifted the six-month state of emergency in Rivers State. Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Deputy Governor Ngozi Nma Odu, and lawmakers will return to office on September 18, 2025.
The emergency was declared in March after political deadlock and security concerns stalled governance. Tinubu said stability has now returned, allowing elected leaders to resume their duties.
