I was a player, I played so well
That even the Queen of Hearts could not win my heart.
They say men are adventurous; guess they meant one – me.
I've sailed across oceans and seas,
Explored forests and journeyed through deserts,
Searching for someone to complete me,
Someone to make meaning of my existence.

Seasons changed, time passed, but the longing in my heart never changed;
Rather, it grew crazy mad like wild fires.
What pleasure is it to have all this wealth with no one to share it with?
A house that cannot be called a home.
Is this God punishing me?

After searching with no results, I ran back to God and cried:
"Lord, I know I am no perfect man,
But I believe this final piece is what I need to get closer to you."
Sigh...

A night to never forget,
A morning to always remember.
There she was, the final piece, closer than I'd ever imagined.
Gave me two thousand reasons not to date,
But we're holding hands, walking the aisle.
My heart cheers.
