Melissa's step dad went back to the orphanage where he left his daughter. He had always thought of her but had been scared to go see her after so many years with the thought that his daughter would've harbored hatred for him. He went  with the hope of gaining  her forgiveness. 

On getting there, He was told that someone had adopted her a long time ago. He asked for address and the person's details and was shocked that it was his resident.

He kept on crying as he droved home , regretting why he could not recognize his own daughter.

He got home to meet his wife on a call with a man, laughing, and telling the person at the other end that she'd been deceiving Melisa's father all these years and that she was only in the marriage because of his money. She went further to say that June wasn't his daughter and that Melisa was his. 

He couldn't take in more as He rushed into the living room angrily. She was shocked but quickly put on an act as though she wasn't scared. 

He asked her to leave with her daughter without blinking his eyes, and was surprised she wasn't remorseful.  Right there, He knew he'd been living with the devil herself all these years.

He invited  his daughter and her husband over.  He asked for Melisa's forgiveness after explaining all what happened and the reason he couldn't come all those years. Melisa forgave her father as he'd always been nice to her. Fate brought Gerald and her together all because of Mrs Beatrice. Even when everything seemed to go wrong for her, she remained optimistic and her optimism brought her good fortune.
