In the early hours of today, a barrage of drones and ballistic missiles launched by Russia struck multiple regions in Ukraine, including the capital city of Kyiv. Officials reported that at least four civilians were killed and around 20 wounded as fires erupted and debris rained down from intercepted air attacks.
The assault saw Kyiv’s air-defence forces down several missiles and dozens of attack drones, yet strikes still landed on residential buildings and infrastructure, according to the Ukrainian Air Force. Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelenskyy renewed his appeal to Western allies for additional air-defence systems, warning that such attacks expose how vulnerable Ukrainian cities remain.
