Cristiano Ronaldo has finally added the Saudi Pro League to his glittering collection of domestic titles, scoring twice as Al Nassr swept aside Damac 4-1 to secure the championship on a dramatic final day.

The victory delivered Al Nassr’s 11th league crown and their first since the Portugal captain arrived in Riyadh. They finished two points clear of fierce rivals Al Hilal, completing a tense run-in that had threatened to unravel in the closing weeks of the season.

Al Nassr had stumbled at the first opportunity to seal the title, dropping points in a 1-1 draw with Al Hilal after a stoppage-time error from goalkeeper Bento. That setback was compounded by a surprise home defeat to Gamba Osaka in the AFC Champions League Two final, raising questions over the team’s nerve at the decisive moment.

Against Damac at King Saud University Stadium, however, there was no sign of hesitation. With Ronaldo flanked by Sadio Mané and João Félix in a star-studded attack, Al Nassr imposed themselves from the outset on opponents fighting at the wrong end of the table.

Mané broke the deadlock late in the first half, finishing a sweeping move that settled early nerves in the stands. Shortly after the interval, Kingsley Coman doubled the advantage, punishing Damac’s disorganised defending and effectively ending the contest.

Ronaldo then took centre stage. The 39-year-old struck his 27th league goal of the campaign with a typically clinical finish before adding his 28th to cap the night and confirm the title. The brace underlined his enduring influence in Saudi Arabia, where he has already surpassed 100 goals for Al Nassr across three seasons.

Visibly emotional, Ronaldo was substituted to a standing ovation in the closing minutes, applauded by teammates and supporters who recognise the scale of his impact. With this triumph, he has now won top-flight league titles in Portugal, England, Spain, Italy and Saudi Arabia, a rare sweep across five major competitions.

Until now, his only silverware with Al Nassr had been the Arab Club Champions Cup, a regional trophy outside FIFA’s official honours. The Saudi Pro League title, long targeted as the club’s primary objective, now stands as the defining achievement of his time in the kingdom and a fresh chapter in one of football’s most decorated careers.
